The following position is based in Malaysia.


About the Country Manager, Malaysia,

  • Lead the Malaysia team across all functions: sales, pre-sales, marketing, service delivery, operations, finance and hr.

  • You will demonstrate ability to manage the following for the business:

- Understanding the market to achieve short, mid and long term business objectives
- Drive the Sales Organisation together with the rest of the teams in the company in working for a common goal.
- General people management
- Customer management

- Partner management (new and existing partners)
- Leverage on the company’s existing global assets to localise and use for the assigned territory


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall performance of Malaysia: P&L responsibility, service and operational excellence, compliance and audit, financial accountability.

  • Develop, and execute the overall strategy for Malaysia aligning to regional and global strategies, whilst customising it to Malaysia's landscape.

  • You will build up the sales, technical, as well as support team.  

  • Design and execute a business plan for the growth of assigned geography.

  • Develop plans for managing/retaining talent inside organization and for improving leadership strength.

  • Represent the company in dealing with principals and in forming partnership and strategic alliances with technology companies.

  • Oversee core business and operational development functions.

  • Sets aggressive/challenging cross-functional goals that support the organizational goals and strategies.

  • Deploy resources to achieve financial forecast and business objectives

  • Monitored company policies and developed new operational procedures of the firm to increase the efficiency

About You

Please note: Interested Applicants must be able to work in Malaysia.


  • Over 15-20 years of total experience with proven capability in sales and leadership roles.

  • Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Business, Marketing and/or Information Technology

  • Strong understanding in ICT, Digital, Cloud (hardware, software and applications).

  • Proven track record in driving year on year business growth both in revenue and bottom line.

  • Extensive experience working for system integration or technology consulting companies.

  • Established relationships with several IT principal vendors at different levels within the organisation. (preferable)

  • Ability to engage different audiences at mid to executive which includes internal stakeholders, clients, team members and partners.

  • Experience in penetrating and generating business from the enterprise, commercial and SMB market, and lead/guide the sales organisation in doing so.

  • Proven ability to manage presales, solution architects, delivery, operations, finance and HR teams for in a general management capacity.

  • Ability to adapt their management style across different functions and generations of people within the organisation.

  • Possess a big picture mindset and must be able to create a strategy that fits the short, mid and long term growth of the business.

  • Leadership qualities: Integrity, dedication, attention to details, deliver results on time, goal oriented, self-motivated.

  • Ability to strategize business plans with tactical action items in complex business environments, projects or tenders.

  • Must process good communication, computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation skills

  • Understand how to prioritize the work and strategy and is able to bring the company’s goals to achievement.

  • Knowing the IT business market trend and follows the engagement with the market technologies with the right principle/vendors engagement.

  • Able to identify the potential area of growth and opportunities in identified vertical markets, execute against the plan, guiding the sales team to understand the competitive market landscape.

  • Able to execute a strategy to win market share in the competitive market situation.

  • Knowing the competitors, vendors SWOT and how the company can bid and win in the most effective manner.

  • Shows a passion to show, lead and win. The person is able to feel good in winning despite being smaller against other competitors.
