The client is a specialist Cyber Security Product company with an R&D division formed by a talented group of Cyber Security experts, who are responsible for delivering cutting-edge projects using innovative active defence methods.

 

About the CFO,

 

The CFO will be accountable for the financial, administrative and compliance of the organisation. He/she will be responsible for the financial and operational strategy and continuing development of processes, systems and strategies to preserve and protect the company’s assets and report accurate financial results.

About You

Duties

  • Prepare Business Plan
  • Preparing of forecasting & budgeting
  • Lead in the application for funding from government agencies
  • Liaise with banks and government agencies
  • Assist in financial and legal negotiations with commercial institutions and/or government institutions
  • Assist project (R&D and Production/ Development contracts) pricing, budgeting and accounting.
  • Monitor and manage the transactions flow to ensure compliance and visualise/avoid pitfalls of tax, GST, legal or money laundering violations in countries that the company operates and sells to.
  • Main subject matter advisor on complex accounting, tax, GST, banking & anti-money laundering issues and providing local and cross–border critical advisory to the business and management.
  • Consult the GM, ELTA management and counterparties in business expansion opportunities, investment process and M&A transactions review to investment completion activities.
  • Manage the relationships with the regulators and service providers including auditors, tax accountants, corporate & legal advisors, bankers.
  • Legal entity set-up, incorporation process and legal compliance.
  • BOD activities, process and compliance. Able to handle full set of Accounts independently
  • Perform month-end closing for reporting and ensure the closing and reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and post general journal entries
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Report preparation such as cash flow position, management accounts, variances from the established budget,  and so on
  • Monitor and check completeness and reasonableness of expenses
  • Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and editing financial reports
  • Assist in audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Assist in the determination of pricing for tenders/contracts
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns and PIC claims
  • Prepare income tax returns, IR8A
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee all aspects of financial matters that include accounting, tax, treasury, financial controls and statutory compliance and reporting in Singapore, Thailand. 
  • Other ad-hoc tasks that are assigned from time to time

 

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Extensive experience in finance management (or another role responsible for pricing and/or accounting and/or Treasury)
  • Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and editing financial reports
  • Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Familiar with tax laws in Singapore
  • Familiar with Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) – an advantage
  • Experience working with banks and financial institutions
  • Experience with project (R&D and Production/Development contracts) pricing, budgeting and accounting.
  • Experience in preparing Business plan
  • Experience in preparing Annual Budget
  • Ability to manage financial and legal negotiations with commercial institutions and/or government institutions
  • Familiar with MS Office application especially Excel

 

Additional requirements:

  • Experience working in R&D,  IT or Cybersecurity companies
  • Experience working in companies with an overseas branch, subsidiaries, etc.
