Hariz is Singaporean and grew up in England. After completing his education in the UK, he started his career with a major blue-chip company in Europe. He was promoted twice in his first year and was the youngest manager to cover one of the most important regions. Hariz expanded the business by managing corporate and SME accounts across the retail estate; he led teams of sales executives in both retail and field sales. He was then headhunted to move back to Singapore in 2012 to join a retainer firm as an Executive Search Consultant specialising in C-Level placement, where he was also heading the commodities division.
Hariz had his calling to move back to the tech space 4 years ago, where he joined a technology recruitment firm as a Business Development Manager to generate new leads for new business and prospects. With his experience in C-Level placements, Hariz was also instrumental in placing senior commercial candidates for software vendors. Since then, he joined SearchElect as a Business Development Manager responsible for our existing client base and also tasked to open new businesses in the emerging technologies. He advises foreign tech companies on the Asian market and niche hirings in Singapore.
