SearchElect and MWR were proud to host HackNTU’s Capture the Flag Event with over 80 young, talented ethical hackers attending in March 2019 at Nanyang Technological University.
The event was co-hosted by MWR, which is an award winning independent Global Cybersecurity Consultancy, to scout for future cybersecurity talent in Singapore.
The Cybersecurity Bill was passed on 5 Feb 2018 and received the President’s assent on 2 Mar 2018 to become the Cybersecurity Act. The Act establishes a legal framework for the oversight and maintenance of national cybersecurity in Singapore.
With the recent hacking of SingHealth, our nations’ largest group of healthcare institution, it poses a wake-up call that we need to be more vigilant and ready for such future cyber attacks on our country’s national infrastructure. Education in Singapore is key to unlock our local talents and nurture them to consider a career in the cyber security field.
SearchElect will continue to support this nurturing and career drive to ensure Digital Defence will become a stronger pillar for Singapore.
